HOW WE DO IT
We don’t use the latest computer-controlled technology in our work. Our furniture is created by traditional craftsmanship. Each piece is a unique work of art due to the unrepeatability of the natural materials and the manual processing of the furniture.
We show a lot of care to each piece of our furniture, but a long way leads to a commode, a table or a bed manufactured in traditional manner without intrusion of modern technology.
We select the right material with natural knots and cracks. We imagine how wood looks after it have been exposed to nature’s influences. Working with wood is raw, manly. Oak wood is hard and tough. We are struggling hard to change its shape in a traditional way.
We cut with a saw at first, then rasp, use mills and drills. Then comes the traditional handwork. The joints are fit together with a big stick. We carefully choose which knot to show, what crack to deepen, what detail of nature to emphasize or refine. The reward is a wonderful feeling from a piece of beautiful furniture.
